Chandra has held key leadership positions at some of the industry’s leading companies, including JP Morgan Chase, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Oracle, and AWS. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of AI/ML Products for JPMorgan Chase. Chandra was also a member of JP Morgan Chase’s AI executive council, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, products, controls, and governance across the company. As Head of Applied AI Research at Amazon Dash Cart, Sean Ma leads the AIML science organization (multiple science and software teams) advancing computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Sean has a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering focusing on image and video understanding using AI from the University of Illinois, and also holds an innovation leadership certification from MIT, plus a certification of software program/project management and certification for Scrum Product Owner.

Sean has built, led, and managed globally distributed teams of researchers and engineers, delivered proof-of-concepts and production solutions, and won multiple awards and patents. 

Donald is currently a Distinguished Engineer at LinkedIn, primarily overseeing the company's generative AI strategy, architecture, and technology. He has more than 35 years of hands-on experience as a technical architect and CTO, with an extensive background in designing and delivering innovative software and services on a large scale. In 2013, Donald co-founded Maana, which pioneered computational knowledge graphs and visual no-code/low-code authoring environments to address complex AI-based digital transformation challenges in Fortune 50 companies. During his 15 years at Microsoft, Donald started the Knowledge and Reasoning group within Microsoft's Bing division, where he innovated "Satori", an internet-scale knowledge graph constructed automatically from the web crawl. He co-founded a semantic computing incubation funded directly by Bill Gates, portions of which shipped as the SQL Server Semantic Engine. Additionally, he created Microsoft's first internet display ad delivery system and led numerous AI/ML initiatives in Microsoft Research across embedded systems, robotics, wearable computing, and privacy-preserving personal data services.

Aswini is a Distinguished Architect at Walmart Global Tech, with over 22 years of IT experience in designing scalable AI/ML, micro frontend, microservices, and cloud applications. His professional expertise encompasses diverse domains including  e-commerce, finance, telecom and healthcare meticulously developed through his tenure at Walmart, Cisco, Equinix, Finastra, and TCS. Over seven years at Walmart, he has been a founding member of critical platforms like Last Mile Delivery, Fleet Management, MerchOne, Supplier Portal and several others. As a recognized expert in generative AI, Aswini specializes in leveraging machine learning and large language models to create transformative digital experiences, including personalized content generation and AI-driven customer engagement.

He has received numerous awards including Walmart’s Innovation Award, Equinix’s Top Performer Award, and Cisco’s Group Race Award. With many certifications in AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies, he stays at the forefront of innovation. Known for his strategic insights, Aswini has a proven ability to deliver transformative AI solutions across industries. 

Gayathri is currently Partner at Hitachi Ventures. Prior to that, she was with Micron Ventures, actively investing in startups that apply AI to solve critical problems in the areas of Manufacturing, Healthcare and Automotive. She brings over 20 years of multi-disciplinary experience across product management, product marketing, corporate strategy, M&A and venture investments in large Fortune 500 companies such as Dell and Corning and in startups. She has also worked as an early stage investor at Earlybird Venture Capital, a premier European venture capital fund based in Germany. She has a Masters in EE from The Ohio State University and MBA from INSEAD in France. She is also a Kauffman Fellow - Class 16.

At Salesforce, Hitesh is responsible for the end-to-end architecture of platforms delivered to financial services and insurance clients globally. His focus is on working with key strategic customers to align Salesforce implementations with their business goals, particularly around the conjunction of Data+AI and CRM. This involves collaborating with retail and commercial banking, payments, wealth management, investment banking, insurance, and capital markets to influence product roadmaps and shape the future of technology in these industries. A significant part of Hitesh's role includes facilitating discussions with CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, and Chief Architects to: •⁠ ⁠Analyze current architectures and design target states. •⁠ ⁠Optimize Salesforce technologies for customer needs. •⁠ ⁠Integrate and Interoperate with Salesforce platforms within broader ecosystems. Being the executive sponsors for the customers, I play a key role in influencing product development within Salesforce by advocating for customer-driven innovations.

Abhijeet Gulati is the Head of AI & Senior Director of Engineering at Mitchell’s Auto Physical Damage (APD) business unit. Abhijeet is an accomplished technologist with over two decades of experience in the semiconductor, wireless, software & technology industry, focusing on AI, Machine Learning, NLP, Generative AI and SaaS solutions. He is a driven Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics and business intelligence leader.

As the Head of AI at Mitchell International, Abhijeet has spent the past 5 years improving InsureTech inefficiencies, minimize decision biases, developed proprietary, differentiated enterprise scale AI products and an intelligent open platform that democratizes adoption of AI in enterprise business workflows. Abhijeet has extensive experience directing large-scale initiatives involving R&D, business & product strategy, operations, and advanced video, image and data analytics. Abhijeet has authored several patents on the application of AI in InsureTech industry. Abhijeet sits on the board of several AI standards, Ethical & Responsible AI committees.

Rashmi Gopinath is a General Partner at B Capital Group where she leads the fund’s enterprise software practice in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, devops, and AI/ML sectors. She brings over two decades of experience investing and operating in cutting-edge enterprise technologies. She led B Capital’s investments in over 24 companies such as DataRobot, FalconX, Clari, Phenom People, Synack, Innovaccer, Labelbox, Fabric, 6Sense, Highspot, Pendo, Starburst, OwnBackup, Figment, Perimeter81, Zesty, among others.

Rashmi was previously a Managing Director at M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, where she led investments globally in enterprise software and sat on several boards including Synack, Innovaccer, Contrast Security, Frame, UnravelData, Incorta, among others.

Prior to M12, Rashmi was an Investment Director with Intel Capital where she was involved in the firm’s investments in startups including MongoDB (Nasdaq: MDB), ForeScout (Nasdaq: FSCT), Maginatics (acq. by EMC), BlueData (acq. by HPE), among others. Rashmi held operating roles at high-growth startups such as BlueData (acq. by HPE) and Couchbase (Nasdaq: BASE) where she led global business development, product and marketing roles. She began her career in engineering and product roles at Oracle and GE Healthcare. She earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Mumbai in India.

Ahmed Menshawy is the Vice President of AI Engineering at Mastercard. In this role, he leads the AI Engineering team, driving the development and commercialization of AI products that deliver business value across the organization. His work focuses on enabling Mastercard to harness the power of AI to solve complex problems, optimize operations, and enhance customer experiences. Ahmed collaborates with cross-functional teams to bring innovative AI solutions from concept to market, ensuring they align with Mastercard’s strategic objectives

An accomplished author and recognized contributor to the AI community, Ahmed has co-authored Deep Learning with TensorFlow and written Deep Learning by Example. His most recent book, Graph Learning for the Enterprise, published by O’Reilly, provides practical insights into efficiently training and deploying graph learning pipelines at scale

Mike is the Head of AI/ML & Advanced Analytics at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC. At Children’s he leads the team responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining custom AI/ML applications in addition to driving AI governance and upskilling initiatives. He’s spent his entire career in the healthcare industry emphasizing AI and advanced analytics. His prior roles include leadership roles at Monogram Health, Exact Sciences, and Elevance.

Dr. Rohith Vangalla is a Senior IEEE Member, AI Researcher, and Lead Software Engineer at Optum Technologies, specializing in AI-driven automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise AI infrastructure. With over ten years of experience, he has pioneered AI solutions in healthcare, digital marketing, and aviation, publishing impactful research that has transformed industry practices. At Optum, he has been instrumental in developing AI-driven chatbots, secure automation frameworks, and scalable AI solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and real-time decision-making. As a scholar, reviewer, and judge for major AI conferences, Dr. Vangalla continues to shape the future of AI infrastructure, privacy-first systems, and responsible AI development.

Aaron Jacobson seeks to partner with founders building generational companies in AI, developer tools, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and robotics.  His current investments include Databricks, Second Front, Pulumi, Martian, Flox, Crowdbotics, Embrace, Deltastream, Rapid Robotics, Built Robotics, Outrider, Tigera, and ForAllSecure. Karl Freund is the founder and principal analyst of Cambrian AI Research. Prior to this, he was Moor Insights & Strategy’s consulting lead for HPC and Deep Learning. His recent experiences as the VP of Marketing at AMD and Calxeda, as well as his previous positions at Cray and IBM, positions him as a leading industry expert in these rapidly evolving industries. Karl works with investment and technology customers to help them understand the emerging Deep Learning opportunity in data centers, from competitive landscape to ecosystem to strategy.

Karl has worked directly with datacenter end users, OEMs, ODMs and the industry ecosystem, enabling him to help his clients define the appropriate business, product, and go-to-market strategies. He is also recognized expert on the subject of low-power servers and the emergence of ARM in the datacenter and has been a featured speaker at scores of investment and industry conferences on this topic.

Accomplishments during his career include:

• Led the revived HPC initiative at AMD, targeting APUs at deep learning and other HPC workloads
• Created an industry-wide thought leadership position for Calxeda in the ARM Server market
• Helped forge the early relationship between HP and Calxeda leading to the surprise announcement of HP Moonshot with Calxeda in 2011
• Built the IBM Power Server brand from 14% market share to over 50% share
• Integrated the Tivoli brand into the IBM company’s branding and marketing organization
• Co-Led the integration of HP and Apollo Marketing after the Boston-based desktop company’s acquisition

Karl’s background includes RISC and Mainframe servers, as well as HPC (Supercomputing). He has extensive experience as a global marketing executive at IBM where he was VP Marketing (2000-2010), Cray where he was VP Marketing (1995-1998), and HP where he was a Division Marketing Manager (1979-1995).

Brett is a co-founder of Arete (formed in 2000) and is based in the firm's London office. He focuses on the global semiconductor component sector. Brett is a regular public speaker at industry events and after 17 years looking at the sector, has a wealth of experience to draw on. Prior to Arete, Brett spent two years at Goldman Sachs in an equity analyst role, specialising in European technology following three years with Ericsson UK, working in business development, covering all aspects of wireline and wireless telecom infrastructure.

Mike Bahr joined DRW Holdings in 2013 and has built co-locations and stand-alone data centers for trading firms all over the world. Mike is also in charge of all MEP designs for all company offices globally. Mike also is co-founder of a start-up, Co-Low.com, a true subscription based colocation/data center finder for all IT needs. Mike lives in Crown Point, IN with his wife Colleen and his four children.

Mark Kidd is an executive vice president and general manager of the Iron Mountain Data Centers and Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) business units. Mark has led the data center organization since its inception in 2013 and additionally took over the ALM organization in early 2023. Mark is responsible for driving growth across the data centers and ALM platforms, including setting strategic direction, leading commercial efforts, and developing expansion opportunities. Prior to his current role, Mark was senior vice president of Enterprise Strategy where he worked alongside the executive team to shape the overall company strategy, directed various internal consulting projects to enhance business unit planning, and managed the Office of the CEO. Over his 19-year tenure with Iron Mountain, Mark has held four additional positions in strategic planning, portfolio management, capital investments, and financial analysis. Prior to joining Iron Mountain, Mark worked at Thomas Weisel Partners, a boutique investment banking firm. Mark graduated with his A.B. in economics from Harvard University.

Richard Ho is Head of Hardware at OpenAI working to co-optimize ML models and the massive compute hardware they run on. Richard was one of the early engineers working on Google TPUs. Before Google, Richard was part of the D. E. Shaw Research team that built the Anton molecular dynamics simulation supercomputer. Richard started his career as co-founder and Chief Architect of 0-In Design Automation, a pioneer in verification tools for chip design (acquired by Mentor Graphics/Siemens). Richard has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University and M.Eng, B.Sc. from University of Manchester, UK.

Raul Martynek joined DataBank in 2017 as the Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he defines the strategic direction of the company and its operations. Raul is a 20+ year veteran in the telecom and Internet Infrastructure sector. He most recently served as a Senior Advisor for Digital Bridge Holdings LLC. Prior to Digital Bridge, he served as CEO for New Jersey-based data center and managed services operator Net Access, LLC. Net Access was acquired in 2015 by Denver-based data center operator Cologix. 5Prior to Net Access, he was the CEO of Voxel dot Net, Inc., a global managed hosting and cloud company, which was acquired by Internap Network Services Corp. in 2012. Mr. Martynek also served as the Chief Restructuring Officer of Smart Telecom, a Dublin, Ireland-based fiber carrier which was acquired by Digiweb in 2009.

Before that he evaluated investment opportunities in the telecommunications and Internet sector as a Senior Advisor at Plainfield Asset Management, a $4B hedge fund. Prior to Plainfield, Mr. Martynek spent 13 years with telecom and Internet provider InfoHighway Communications Corp; first as Chief Operating Officer of Eureka Networks and then as President and CEO of InfoHighway. InfoHighway was acquired by Broadview Networks in 2007. Mr. Martynek earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Binghamton University and received a Master Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.

Laura was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cologix in 2022 after serving as the company’s President and Chief Revenue Officer since 2018. Laura has over 25 years of experience in cloud and technology global leadership focused on GTM strategy, revenue growth, global customer success, sales and account management, and revenue and client relationship management.  Laura was EVP and Chief Customer Officer at Equinix, and prior she spent nine years at VMware, overseeing the Cloud Services business as co-General Manager and Vice President. Laura held global IT and technical support teams for Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, and served various technical and global leadership positions at Lockheed Martin.  Laura is also on the board of Digital Edge DC. Laura holds an MBA in Information Systems from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Marketing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she played collegiate tennis.

Phill has more than 25 years of experience identifying new opportunities for further growth of leading data center infrastructure, network architecture, and cloud solutions in the U.S. and abroad.

As Chief Innovation Officer at Aligned, Phill is responsible for the management of revenue generation and profitability objectives, as well as championing key innovation, technology, and sustainability strategies aimed at maximizing new business development.

Prior to joining Aligned, Phill served as Chief Innovation Officer at EdgeConneX, where he was instrumental in driving strategies focused on creating the next generation of network edge-based data centers for the digital content ecosystem. Throughout his career, Phill has also served in numerous senior executive-level positions at Virtacore, Alcatel-Lucent, Savvis (now CenturyLink Technology Solutions), and MCI (now Verizon Digital Media Services). He currently holds eight active technology patents and serves on the Board of Directors for Netrality Data Centers as well as the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) Advisory Board.

Jason Carolan leads Flexential’s customer-driven innovation and advisory programs office, providing leading insights to product and technology evolution in a dynamic industry. Operationally, Jason keeps grounded by leading our information technology and security teams, enabling new products and services. He and his team are responsible for developing insights on what’s next on the horizon to further position the company to empower enterprise's hybrid IT journeys. He joined the company in 2011 and has held various roles in product, operations and technical management.

Jason has more than 25 years of experience in leadership positions in product architecture, software engineering, technical sales and support across a variety of companies, including Sun Microsystems, where Jason was honored as a Distinguished Engineer, VMware and the Mayo Clinic.

Jason was the lead author of “Building N1 Grid Solutions,” one of the first books highlighting the combined use of virtualization and automation. He also has several patents in networking, data center resource management, virtualization and security.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Luther College and a master’s degree from Western Governor’s University.

François Sterin joined the Data4 Group in December 2022 as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He has over 20 years of in digital infrastructure, datacenters and network for hyperscalers and cloud providers.  A member of the executive committee, he oversees the group business operations. He also manages the CSR policy via the Data4Good program.

Tom spearheads EdgeCore’s understanding and adoption of emerging technologies with a current focus on the impacts and demands of AI on the data center ecosystem.  While interacting with a broad spectrum of technologists, industry thought leaders, and community stakeholders, Tom ensures that EdgeCore stays at the forefront of innovation, geographic expansion, and future trends in order to deliver on the company’s promise to provide safe, sustainable, and futureproof data center solutions to the world’s largest cloud and technology companies. Tom’s industry experience began in the post-dot com early 2000s period and stretches through the rise of enterprise wholesale colocation in the 2000s, through the rise of hyperscale cloud in the 2010s, and now generative AI driven world.

Prior to joining EdgeCore, Tom worked for Amazon Web Services, where he was accountable for strategy and execution for new and existing regions across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, along with diligence and strategy for additional regions under evaluation. Prior to Amazon, Tom was co-practice leader of Cassidy Turley’s (now Cushman & Wakefield’s) Data Center Advisory Practice, focused on end-user representation and capital markets transactions. Tom previously worked at CoreSite Realty Corporation as Regional VP of Sales.

Tom holds a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College, with honors.

Janco joined Arete in 2023 and is based in the firm’s Cape Town office. He focuses on the global semiconductor component sector as an equity research analyst. Janco joined Arete after a distinguished career as a professional sportsman, where he took on various leadership roles and was a regular public speaker.
