
Michael Fredericson
Dr. Fredericson is Professor and Director of PM&R Sports Medicine in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University. He is Founder of the Stanford Lifestyle Medicine Program and Co-Director of the Stanford Center on Longevity.
Dr. Fredericson has been a featured speaker at numerous national and international sports medicine and rehabilitation symposiums. In addition, he has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles, 38 book chapters, and four books focused on an improved understanding of athletic injuries. He is a former member of the Editorial Board of Physician and Sports Medicine, former Associate Editor for the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, Senior Founding Editor for the PM&R Journal and the Board of Trustees for the Association of Academic Physiatristsl. He is also on the Scientific Advisory Board and a frequent contributor to Runner's World and Men's Health magazines.
Dr. Fredericson is Founding Program Director for the Stanford Non-Operative Sports Medicine Fellowship and has received various awards for his efforts to develop and foster musculoskeletal education and research for medical students, residents, fellows, and post-doctoral scholars.
