José Luis has been active in the innovation and new technologies industry for almost 30 years, working with international corporations as Cisco, Oracle, BBVA and Unisys as EMEA and LATAM new markets and emerging sectors development business director.
Educated as a Computing Engineer at Extremadura University, he completed his tech studies with business and culinary studies at Stanford University — Executive Program – Le Cordon Bleu in Madrid — Diplôme de Cuisine – Reims Champagne- Ardennes University – Diplôme Universitaire DUGGAT – and Haas Business School Berkeley University – Venture Capital Executive Program.
Tom Littlejohns
Tom joined the Nuffield Department of Population Health in 2014 to work as an epidemiologist for UK Biobank, a large cohort of half a million participants. This role involves providing scientific review of research applications, helping scientists maximise the use of the resource as well as contributing to enhancing the dataset (i.e. grant proposals).
Tom also collaborate on several research projects in UK Biobank to explore the determinants and consequences of a range of health-outcomes, with a focus on cancer, gastrointestinal conditions, kidney stones and dementia. Before joining the department completing a PhD on ‘hormonal risk factors for late-onset dementia’ at the University of Exeter Medical School.
